Pictures of the last few days

Ok - went ahead and downloaded some pictures for today.

This is a quick cross stitch that I'm doing a series of fruits/veggies for one of my friends.

This is a new chart I've just started today.  Keep checking back for updates on this project.

Enough said - :) - Happy, happy Fall!!

This is our pond - one of our sons-in-law said it now looks like a lake  - he's not wrong.  We've had a ton of rain this summer.  It may be awhile before this goes back to just a pond.

This is my first project I've done since returning to cross stitching - it's a work in progress.  Keep posted - almost finished with it.

Here I am again.  Hoping to be here on a regular basis.

We are way busier than we'd like to be but are concluding that it's just going to be a way of life for now. :)  Bill worked in the yard this morning and I went shopping this morning.  Came home and while he studied for his Sunday School lesson I sat on the porch and worked on some handwork stuff... more about that later.  Bill's mom came to live with us for awhile and she was in taking a nap.

Fixed alfredo sauce for supper and cooked rigatoni to go with it - I know, I know - should've been fettucine, but - rigatoni is what we had.  Only had enough for one person a serving for leftovers.  It was tasty!!  Sat out on the porch after dishes were done... cooler temps recently - not sure if they'll stay but sure am looking forward to it.  I'll take a picture of our beauty berries along the roads soon and post it here.  Seems to be a sign in this neck of the words that Fall is on it's way!! Fall has always been my favorite time of the year.  I'll decorate the house in a few days and post pictures of that too.

Our household is about to change a bit more - Stay tuned :)

Today I'm trying to set up this blog to get it going again. I love reading about others' lives and what they are doing to make a simple life for themselves yet doing ministry at the same time.  I'd like to do that as well.  I love the simpler life we've experienced since moving to N FL three years ago. I've quilted for several years - over 15 now - and have just begun cross stitching again.  I want to share my handiwork with others, our ministry in our church/community and our lives here at home - what we do from day to day to make our small property into what we want it to become.  I'm going to learn how to do this and keep up with it.
